Donuts – they’re not just for eating. Just ask Martin, owner and operator of BBQ Buoys, a truly unique outdoor leisure experience based in Adelaide, South Australia.

The BBQ Buoys are, in fact, donut-shaped boats that can be hired on an hourly basis by small groups – families, friends, even business teams. After a short briefing, customers quickly find themselves having a relaxing barbecue while cruising around on Adelaide’s River Torrens. The whole concept is so unique and innovative that most people haven’t experienced anything similar before.

BBQ Buoys can be used for various occasions, ranging from romantic outings, birthday parties, all the way to work meetings and corporate functions.

The Problem

Bringing a completely new concept to Australian shores, Martin and Andrea knew the demand was going to be high. The challenge was to find the most stable booking system that would be intuitive enough for both staff and end customers, and with minimal need for manual processing.
