Sydney, 11 February 2015 – Rezdy, a global booking software provider for the tours and activities sector, announced the launch of their revolutionary Channel Manager product today.
Rezdy’s CEO, Simon Lenoir, claims that Rezdy’s Channel Manager is the first true channel manager in the tours and activities sector because of its unique ability to connect to any type of booking system through Rezdy’s Supplier API.
Of the recent launch, Lenoir said, “Until now, tour and activity suppliers did not have a choice over which booking system they could use to gain access to a channel manager’s connected OTAs. Any booking software can plug into Rezdy’s Channel Manager and gain instant access to the biggest OTAs in the tours and activities space – whether it’s Rezdy’s Booking Software, another commercial booking software, or an in-house custom-built booking software.”
This flexibility allows businesses of any size to connect to Rezdy’s Channel Manager, which is already linked to Viator (a TripAdvisor company) and Tours4Fun (a Ctrip company), among many other distribution channels.
Lenoir explains, “Now, large cruise and attraction operators can link their existing booking software to our channel manager. They gain access to our distribution network without sacrificing their current booking system.”
Lenoir explains that Rezdy’s Channel Manager is a response to the fact that tours and activities are quickly following in the footsteps of the accommodations sector.
“Contrary to recent opinion that the tours & activities sector is not yet ready for open distribution, the technology is already here and our numbers tell a different story.”
According to Rezdy’s own data, agent bookings are rapidly gaining traction month over month – reaching 13% of all bookings made on the platform at the end of last year. Rezdy processes roughly $45M in bookings per quarter.
“While this is a modest share when compared to the accommodations sector, it’s proof that tours and activities are headed in the right direction, with online travel agencies being a key driver of this shift.”
Rezdy’s Channel Manager is already live and being used by Rezdy customers.
